Summary

The first and only health center for colored people is opened in Atlanta with the help of the Neighborhood Union. In the note about the opening, “The fact that this little house will be free of debt when opened, demonstrates what a few people can do who believe in the things they are trying to do, and argues for greater things in the future.”
